There is a God who answers prayers, who hears your cries in the dead of night. There is a God who answers prayers, whose faithfulness cannot be faulted. There is a God who answers prayers, whose ear is inclined to the whispers of your hearts. There is a God who answers prayers. I know this because He has answered mine. The ones prayed through a waterfall of tears, where my heart was so torn I barely could mutter words. The ones prayed through gritted teeth, where everything in me fought the words that left my lips ‘your will be done’. The ones prayed with such a small amount of faith that you would need a magnifying glass to see the desperate plea, ‘help me’.
There is a God who answers prayers. I know this because I have seen it. I have seen those ‘suddenly’ answers to prayers, the ones that swoop in like an eagle onto prey, so unexpected, so quickly, so kairos.
